The Department, started in the year 2002, offers under graduate programs in Computer Science & Engineering and post graduate programs in Computer Science: Specialization in Data Security; recognised by Cochin University of Science & Technology. The program offered in the Department has a number of attributes that may fit nicely with the education and environment the students are looking for. During the last few years, the Department has shown an impressive record of achievement.
The B.Tech and M.Tech Degree in Computer Science enables a prospective student to learn about the principles of a Computer system, its architecture, programming, and applications that drive them. The program has a hands on focus that will horn the students skills as a software developer to complement the technical knowledge they will gain in fundamental areas of Computer Science.
The Computer Science & Engineering Department has a low student to faculty ratio, ensuring that the students will have a ready access to our faculty. We have a faculty with expertise in many significant and contemporary areas of Computer Science. Most of the faculty members are Post-Graduates in Computer Science & Engineering pursuing their Doctoral programme.
The Computer Students Association of TIST (CSAT) conducts periodical seminars and invited talks by experts from Universities and industries on emerging areas in the field of Computer Science and Engineering on a regular basis.
